Tenga 3D Review
Tenga just keeps getting better and better. First it was their Eggs which felt so amazing, but were only meant to be disposable. Then it was the Flips which were made to last, but didn’t fit as universally as the Eggs- which molded to whatever shape the wearer was. Now finally - behold - the Tenga 3D! The lasting power of the latter, with the universal appeal of the former.
The 3D comes in a clear plastic tube with a black base on the bottom and a dowel that holds it upright and in place. I wish the lid screwed down because as it is, it only stays on if kept upright. If you want to tuck it into a drawer, the clear part just pops right off.
The sleeve, when turned inside out (the natural resting state) looks like artwork. Sure, maybe that helps to disguise it at first as something other than a sextoy, but more likely, it would attract attention. Oh, what’s that sculpture there….? But I’ll admit, it has far more appeal than your run-of-the-mill stroker.
When ready to use, just flip the 3D inside out. This, ironically, makes it look kinda phallic in appearance. Do not skimp on the water-based lube, and at least your first usage worth of Tenga’s fantastic slippery stuff is provided in a foil pouch.
My husband found the fit was tight, but in a good way. Unlike the Flip which was irritating at best and painful at worst, the 3D is much more pliable. It is made of elastomer material which is known for being both durable and flexible.
I enjoyed that while stroking him I could actually feel him and not just the toy. And because the material becomes slightly opaque as it is stretched, it provides a bit of a view too. As a couple’s toy, I enjoy this more than the Flip hands down. Using this was an extension of my hands, although quite a bit thicker than the Eggs. You have a good ¼” or more thickness with the 3D between your hands and the shaft. I liked that it made it feel like I could be rougher and it would hold up, but it did decrease the sensitivity of my hands to how excited he was.
The texture, we decided, created a noticeable sensation, but not something specific. However, if you wanted, you could certainly use this inside out and thrust against the non-textured side for a different feel.
Or, because I’m always trying to play with my husband’s toys, you could be like me and place it over some slim-line vibes to add some girth and texture. Nice! Although it was kinda hard to keep it on and I’d just assume buy a toy that fits me right to start with, but at least I got to try it.
Thank you Babeland for sending me the Tenga Polygon 3D to review!
