Evolved's Nocturnal Emissions VS Cal Exotic Passion Wave Teaser COMPARISON REVIEW
First off, if you are interested in either Cal Exotics Passion Wave Teaser or Evolved’s Nocturnal Emission you should read each of their respective reviews for complete product info. Here I am just attempting to bring to light the differences between the two that might help you to choose which may be better suited for you.
MATERIAL:
Both the Passion Wave (PW) and Nocturnal Emissions (NE) are made of TPE/TPR. Both have smooth surfaces with no texture. Neither one had a scent of any kind.
DESIGN:
Both are nearly identical in size, and both are quite girthy. The PW is stick straight with a bulbous head. The NE has a bit of wave over its shaft and the head tapers and curves a bit, aiding insertion. I think the NE is a bit more aesthetically pleasing, and the waved shaft does create a bit more of an interesting feeling in use.
CLIT STIMULATOR:
To me, the NE looks far classier. The clit stim looks like your standard bunny, with the ears as one combined piece rather than two separate flicking ears. The vibrations are pin-point on the ears, but do not travel well down the “body” of the bunny. Not that I am necessarily a bit fan of the bunny shapes, but compared to the tacky look of the lips and extruding tongue of the PW, its way better. However, as someone who likes a firmer vibration on my clit, I do like the “tongue” a bit better in use as it creates a stronger feeling of vibration. If it were the same shape, but made to look like leaf or something, I’d really love it.
As far as the vibrations themselves I find PW to be the stronger of the two. The PW has 3 speeds but no patterns, while the NE has 5 speeds and 4 patterns. The vibrations of both are in between a deep rumble and a buzzy vibe, good for most users. However, PW is the just barely buzzier of the two. However, I must emphasize that power-wise, these two are so close you really, really have to be trying to pick up on the difference. If you like pin-point, NE. If you like broader area of vibration, PW.
WAVING SHAFT:
Here is where you will see the most differences between the two toys. The PW has waving discs that run the entire length of the shaft. The discs are like two half circles that come together and apart in a waving motion. The effect is like a butterfly fluttering inside, all the way from your entrance to deep inside.
The NE has sprocket shaped discs that are stacked just off-center to each other, and spin in circles like a drill. The waving is only over the bottom 1/3 of the shaft though, which puts it directly over the g-spot. This feels a bit more like someone swirling their finger inside deeper, and deeper, and then starting over. The waving also creates a slight rotation of the head, which, while not overly pronounced, feels damn good.
Of the two I find it hard to decide which one creates a stronger sensation. On first note I would the PW because every bit of the shaft waves making it hard not to notice. However, I like the way the NE works a bit better. I like that it stimulates my g-spot, and the waving is a bit stronger in the area it is concentrated over. Though I have to admit, of the two, PW is a bit more unique feeling.
CONTROLS:
The PW controls are very easy to follow. Though they are made of one material that you can just feel the buttons under. This can make if difficult at times to find the button, or the correct button. The interface is pretty easy. On either side is an up & down control for the shaft and clit stimulator. Push the up bottom three times to turn it all the way up, down the corresponding amount to turn it off. Ditto for the clit stimulator. There is also two lines, each with three lights that light up to show what speeds are set. Finally, at the top is a button that changes direction of the shaft.
The NE controls are easier to feel, as they are separate and highly raised.. However, there are more of them, and I think that makes them more confusing at times. There is a round button in the middle which is the power button. I like that it will shut the unit immediately off in an emergency. Like the PW, there are two buttons on either side that will change the speed of the clit stim and shaft up and down. But then there is also a button on top of each of those, one for the clit stim that rotates through the vibration patterns, and one for the shaft that changes directions.
PACKAGING:
Hands down, NE is the clear cut winner. It came in a sweet tin box with a window and a form that the NE sits in. With the form removed, the box becomes excellent storage box for several toys and lubes.
PW comes in a clear plastic box and a clear form the PW sits in. The box won’t hold up for long-term storage. Both have feminine writing and design on the boxes, neither of which could be described as discreet.
DETAILS:
PW takes 3 AA batteries which last around 2+ hours of use. It is waterproof, and somewhat noisy. The NE takes 4 AAA batteries and lasts around 3+ hours of use. Sorry, I have no idea about stand-by time, they both get used a little too often for that! NE is also waterproof, and somewhat noisy. Of the two, I’d say PW is a bit louder as it has that “whining”/higher-pitched sound while the waving motion is on. From Edenfantasys the Passion Wave Teaser is $98.99, and the Nocturnal Emissions is $99.99
CONCLUSION:
Both are good toys. I just like the Nocturnal Emissions a little bit better. I like that it doesn’t have the clicking issues, and definitely that I get some g-spot stimulation. The clit stimulator is not quite as strong, and I do like the shape of the Passion Wave better. Control-wise they were both easy to use, but I like that the NE has a power button that shut it off immediately in an emergency. If I could have only one, Nocturnal Emissions seems a bit better constructed and I expect it to last longer, as well as work a bit better with my particular anatomy. But that said, I like both and both have stayed on top of the toy chest, so I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend either one.
Passion Wave Teaser by California Exotics REVIEW
This waver is made from clear purple TPE which is very pliable. While the shaft won’t bend at all because of the internal mechanisms, it creates a soft coating that allows for the waving motion to be felt. The TPE is completely smooth, with a bit of drag over the un-lubed surface. The material has no scent, and is latex & phthalate-free, as well as hypo-allergenic.
The Passion Waver is a approximately the same length as most rabbits, at 10” long, 5 ¼” insertable. But it is quite a bit thicker, with a diameter of 1 3/5”. While some may find this too big, I actually like the extra girth, and find that it allows for the waving to be even more noticeable than had the shaft been more of a slim-line.
The shaft itself is totally straight, with a slightly bulbous head. However, instead of being the regular mushroom shape, it has a swirling ridge design, which is the only bit of texture on the entire shaft. It does add to the aesthetics of it, but I didn’t feel it in use. Inside you can see the wavers that run the entire length of the shaft, which are like two halves of a circle that pull in and out in a rhythmic motion that creates the feeling of waving. It is rather like when a stadium of people use their arms and do “the wave”, except using the discs.
The control panel is pretty standard as far as this type of vibe goes. It has two buttons on either side that turn the waving shaft and clit stimulator up and down, and lighted indicators that correspond with each speed. And then one button in at the top that reverses the directions of the waves. The buttons can be hard to feel in my experience, as they material goes completely over the controls and they feel like little bumps underneath.I found the motion very easy to feel, but to me it is more like a fluttering feeling than a strong waving motion. It does have three speeds of waving. For me, it feels like the fluttering is faster, but not stronger or more pronounced. So depending on my mood, its one of the few toys that I don’t mind using on the lower settings.
I also found that when I reversed the motion of the waves, they felt a bit stronger and more pleasurable for me. And for reasons unknown, quieter as well. On its original setting the waver makes a sort of “clicking” that is extremely distracting. Not only can I hear it, but I can feel it as well. And I don’t like it at all. If it felt like a pulse, I could maybe get into it, but its not, it clicks like something isn’t quite right inside. However, on the reverse direction, I don’t feel it at all. I’m not sure whether its just a flaw in my toy or if they are all like this?
The clit stimulator is also somewhat unique for a rabbit in that it is shaped like a flat tongue rather than bunny ears. When I seen the product pics I just thought it was a flat stimulator, and I kinda like that. When I actually had it in my hand I realized that it is supposed to be lips with a protruding tongue. To me, it just kinda cheapens the design. Regardless, in use I like the singular flat surface (opposed to bunny ears or similar) as it gives a broader surface on which the vibrations can be felt.
The vibrations are pretty decent in strength, about as strong as the average bullet. They are not the deepest of vibrations, but not buzzy either. I think the average user would enjoy it. Unfortunately, it does not have any patterns. My favorite aspect of the clit stim is that it is 2 ½” long (measured from the inside), so it reaches my clit very well. The stimulator is flexible, so it will adjust to different anatomies.
Battery-life is pretty decent with this guy, I get a good 2+ hours of use on the 3 AA batteries it takes, even though I don’t remove them between uses. This toy is waterproof, which makes it easy to clean thoroughly with mild soap and warm water, or toy cleaner. TPE is not safe for sharing due to its somewhat porous nature, and is not sterilizable.
Like other rabbits, this one is not the easiest to store due to its size. The clear plastic box it comes in will not last for storage. It doesn’t fit in regular toy pouches, and it won’t tuck in to a small purse. But its worth finding a place for if you like rabbits, and especially rabbits that have unique features.

Thumper by California Exotics REVIEW
Thumper arrived to my home in standard Cal Exotics packaging; a clear plastic box with pretty feminine flowers gracing the front and sides, and the toy showcased in its own clear plastic tray. It had minimal instructions on the back of the box, but usage is pretty straight forward. To get started, just insert three AA batteries into the slide-out tray, and then close the cap.
The first thing I noticed about Thumper was its pretty lilac color and its velvety-soft, satin-smooth silicone. Silicone, for reasons unknown to me, is not easy to find on rabbit vibes which tend to be made of TPR. The shaft is slightly pliable, with a rigid understructure which tends to feel a bit bigger in use than its conservative 1 1/3” diameter, and 5” insertable length (9 1/3” total). Though a little water-based lube (never use any lube other than water-based lube to prevent deteriorating the material.) goes a long way to making this toy comfortable for even beginner users. But, being the size-queen that I am, I’d still like it better if it was just a little bit girthier.
Like I first said, the design and functions are pretty much standard rabbit features. The clit vibe comes out 2”, with two long bunny ears that provide a very direct vibration to the clit. Unlike softer, more pliable material, the ears don’t flutter, but they create a very direct, pin-point vibration. The stimulator is pretty rigidly in place, with very little give, which was something I’m still not quite sure if I like or not. On one hand, it sometimes feels like I can’t get it positioned just right, and it doesn’t have quite enough give to be completely comfortable. Which then makes it feel like the rabbit ears are poking me. On the other hand, when it is just right, it provides a more direct, concentrated vibration that is more like how I would hold a clit toy if it were not attached to a shaft.
The shaft is pretty much long and straight with a slightly upturned end. The tapered end does aide insertion, but isn’t quite enough -and is too long- to provide g-spot stimulation. It has only a slight lip that wraps around the shaft and the clit, but it seems to be more for aesthetic reasons than pleasurable ones, as I didn’t really even feel it in use. It lacks the bells of whistles of rotating beads, waving motions, or stroking. But it has a really great rotating head! The rotation starts out 2” from the tip of the shaft, and makes a pretty decent swing, I’d say about an 1 ½” circular motion.
What I did notice is that even with the rotation turned up, it doesn’t vary how much it rotates, but how fast it rotates. And even that does not seem to make a whole lot of difference to me in use. But again, with the wide arch of its swing, it packs quite a bit more punch than other rabbits with similar rotating features. Perhaps this is because it doesn’t seem to get “bogged down” the way others do- where it works when you are just holding it in your hand, but seems to quit as soon as you insert it. And because it works so well in this aspect, I don’t miss that it doesn’t have beads or an exotic design to the shaft.
The features are very easy to control with the three easy-to-push buttons on the base of the toy. The bottom one turns the toy on and off, illuminating the controls so they can be easily manipulated. The second one turns the clit vibrations on, with each subsequent push increasing it through the 3 speeds, and then the 4 vibration patterns. The top button controls the rotating shaft, increasing it through its 3 speeds with each push.
The shaft itself doesn’t vibrate, but I don’t miss that since it rotates so well. The vibrations are located solely on the clit stimulator, but they pack a decent punch. As good in quality as a strong bullet vibe, with a deep thrumming vibration that doesn’t feel at all buzzy. And the patterns are each quite good, the second one being my favorite. It’s rather difficult to describe, but the patterns feature an extra thud to the vibrations that I find extremely stimulating. I often find myself using my Eroscillator in conjunction with my rabbits because I can’t get the clit stim I need, but that’s not really a problem with Thumper.
Despite messy orgasms, clean-up is simply with silicone (gotta love non-porous toys!). Wash with warm water and soap, toy cleaner, or a 10% bleach solution and dry. Toss it in a toy bag to keep it away from other toys and keep it from collecting dust. Just be sure to remove the batteries first to extend battery-life. Of which I have been quite pleased with. I use Energizer batteries and they have been lasting me about 2-3 hours apiece. Not quite as green as my rechargeable toys, but I’m not really complaining. Though I have to admit, this just makes me want to try the Jopen Vr10 even worse now, and it was already near the top of my list of things I wanted to get soon. So be looking in the near future for a full review of Vr10 and a comparison review of these two.
In conclusion, this is an excellent value for its quality. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to those who like rabbits. And as many amazing toys as I have, I’ve found myself using this one almost daily as of late. That’s gotta say something.

Lube Shooters by Kinklab REVIEW
The obvious use for this device is anal prepping. But honestly, it works just as well vaginally. At some point or another- menopause, pregnancy, post-partum, or just from dehydration- many women will find that they aren’t producing as much lubrication down there as they usually do, and it can make sex painful. Regardless of how turned-on she may be.
Nothing feels sexier than slipping into your lady when she is warm, wet, and inviting- not warm, dry, and hostile. I even like using it when I’m working up for a bigger toy or one that has a lot of drag, it just takes the uncomfortable feeling out. And if you know you will be having sex, you can always lube up just before getting in action and your partner won’t even know the difference.
Anally, it’s much the same. Rather, no one produces sufficient anal lube for anal penetration. And it can be difficult because of the double sphincters to introduce lube up there without making a complete mess, or ending up under-lubed. With the Lube Shooter, you can get however much or little you want, mess-free.
The process of using these is pretty straight-forward. Although the package says it comes with three shooters, it’s more like 3 tubes that you fill up, and one plunger and cap that you constantly reuse. The package also says that these are disposable. However, I wash and reuse them. That said, here’s what you need to know should you also choose to go with the washing method: The Shooters are made from ABS plastic. While it’s not a highly porous material, it is not considered sterilizable either. If you are a couple sharing these, I suggest putting them in separate sandwich bags that are labeled. One for her vaginally, one for her anal, and one for him. No sharing, please. No matter how good of a job washing you do, these are germs you don’t want passing from one person (or orifice) to another!
Instruction-wise, you get the tube you are wanting to use. It’s pretty much like a straw with a rounded tip that has a pencil-lead sized hole on the end, and place the black tip over the end to keep lube from spilling out as you pour it in. Obviously, the thinner the lube you use, the easier it is to pour in and not end up with too many air bubbles. I find that as long it’s thinner than lotion, it works pretty well.
You fill the tube with as much lube as you need (I find about ¼ full is plenty enough for me), partially insert the plunger, invert the tube and finish inserting the plunger while simultaneously pushing the air out. Remove the black cap, exposing the small opening and lube, and it is ready for immediate use. You can use it right away, or leave the cap on and stick it aside (in a plastic bag to ensure it doesn’t spill) until you are ready to use it. In fact, I recommend this as it eliminates the work in the heat of the moment.
If you are using a thicker liquid, I use this alternate method: Grab your tube and place the plunger completely inside. Put the amount of lube into a medicine cup that you are planning to use, and draw up the lube like a syringe. Never draw it up directly out of the lube as it could contaminate your bottle of lube and lead to infections. Obviously, don’t use a liquid so thick that it would prevent you from being able to thoroughly clean the tube afterwards. Cleaning is simple with soap and water, a toy cleaner, or a 10% bleach solution.
The Shooter are 3 ¾” insertable, 5” total, but only a ½” diameter. I find the best way to use them was to insert the tube as far as possible, start depressing the plunger and slowly ease the tube out. It thoroughly lubricates the passage from the entrance, all the way in. And, sorry about this but it’s true, I can’t help but compare the process a bit to using a tampon. Except it’s lube instead of the actual tampon. So there you go fella’s, can’t say you haven’t always been just a bit curious!

Before & After Toy Cleaner by Classic Erotica REVIEW
Now, that’s not to say that this is appropriate for every occasion. If your toy is covered in your own natural (or artificial) lube, or -and I probably shouldn’t even have to say this- is something you have just used anally, it needs a thorough washing with soap and water. But after it has dried it’s not a bad idea to give your toy a quick spray to help kill any bacteria that weren’t removed in the washing process. Likewise, a good choice for spraying your toys off before using, in the event that something has taken up residence on your toy while in storage.
Before & After comes in an 8 fl. oz container that I highly expect to last me a very long time (and I use it quite frequently). And it smells so good, like a flowery soap! Not so strong that its very noticeable, just enough that it leaves your toy with a fresh, clean scent. The bottle and cleaner itself is clear, while the label is various shades of blue. It does say adult toy cleaner right on the front of the label, but there is really nothing that draws attention to the bottle, so I would still call it somewhat discreet. On the back are the usage instructions and ingredient list, as follows:
Deionized water- A type of purified water that has the ions removed.
Cocamidopropyl PG-dimonium chloride phosphate- A surfactant, preservative, conditioning agent and foam booster.
Benzyl alcohol- A naturally occurring and synthetic ingredient used as solvent and preservative; has been associated with contact dermatitis.
Disodium EDTA- A preservative, stabilizer, and purifying agent.
Fragrance- Product used to enhance aroma, usually collected from plant, animal, or chemical sources.
(The above ingredient list is from the manufacturer. The actions of each chemical are based on my research and not validated by the manufacturer.)
This could easily be a great go-to cleanser. Besides that it can be a good choice for the lazy masturbation sessions and pre-treating toys prior to use, it actually makes a pretty good soapy foam for a deeper cleaning with water. Because it does have the benzyl alcohol, it is recommended to rinse prior to using. However, most users are very unlikely to experience any sort of rash related to it. But if you want to be on the safe side, just rinse it off before touching to your girly/manly parts.
Personally, I have come to rely on this quite frequently. My Eroscillator thanks me. My piece of mind thanks me. I find myself using it most as a before cleaner, and for lazy times. When I really am concerned about deep cleaning, I have another cleaner with triclosan that I think is more effective for sterilizing. But like I said, this is a great go-to, with practical, everyday use that is safe for every material type. Recommended? Hell yes.
