Review of Zook by Zini: I Fell Zook, Line, And Sinker!

Zini Zook

USE
Zook is a luxurious and modern rabbit-style vibrator that is ideal for stimulating the female g-spot and providing light clitoral stimulation through its flexible arm. It boasts two powerful motors that cycle through multiple speeds and patterns via its multicolored LED interface. It is rechargeable, waterproof, and easy to use.

MATERIAL / TEXTURE

Zook has a combination of both non-porous medical-grade silicone over the shaft and clitoral stimulator, and an ABS plastic control panel. Both materials are hypo-allergenic, phthalates-free, and completely body-safe. There is a slight seem that runs completely around the toy over the silicone from the top to the bottom of the toy lengthwise, and then on the plastic completely around, but on both sides of the toy. It is easily seen and detected by touch, but is too soft to felt in use. The toy had no detectable smell on arrival, and once washed holds just barely onto the smell of a scented soap.

The silicone is smooth and brushed to velvety-softness, gliding easily over bare skin. It does create a bit of drag on partially slick areas, so be generous with water-based lube to ease insertion and g-spot play. While the shaft of Zook is completely firm as though it has plastic directly under the silicone, the clitoral arm is flexible and plush.

The ABS-plastic portion comes in a contrasting color to the silicone and is a shiny-smooth texture over the control itself and the top part of the handle. The combination of textures make it easy to find the control panel and keep a firm grip on the toy during use. Both materials are beginner-friendly and easy to maintain.

DESIGN / SHAPE / SIZE

The two most apparent words that come to mind for Zook are sleek and luxurious. Combining style with function pays off in this vibe that is designed from the rippling overlaps of a bamboo branch. Merely 3/8ths of an inch into the top of the 1 ¼” diameter bulbous, tapering, head is the first overlap that wraps at a long angle to the bottom of the toy and disappears until flush with the toy. While it may not seem like anything more than an aesthetically pleasing touch at first, it quickly becomes apparent in use that this truly provides that extra stimulation to the g-spot that is best felt with slow stroking. The upward curve of the shaft targets the g-spot easily and can provide moderate to strong pressure depending on the angle the toy is held.

The second overlap is found nearly to the bottom of the 3 5/8” long shaft and is much less pronounced. It sits right at the entrance of the vagina, providing extra stimulation and attention. Because the shaft does taper down to less than ¾” of an inch long and the lip is less pronounced, it may be more or less noticeable to some users. It also fades to smooth on the backside of the toy, adding to its sleek appearance.

The clit stimulator is 1 ¾” long, and thin with a generous head that is shaped somewhat like a pointed thumb with a flat bottom and rounded top that sits over the clit. Near the bottom of the stimulator seats two more bamboo-like ripples, though they do add to the appearance of the toy, they have no functional design. The clit stimulator is probably long enough to fit most users and is highly flexible, making it extremely comfortable in use. However, for those who need pressure from their clit stimulators, this may be a little too flexible.

(It is slightly smaller in size, but somewhat comparable to Lelo Ina in shape)

FUNCTIONS / PERFORMANCE / CONTROLS

Molding their controls into the new concept in vibrators, Zini makes the control panel as easy to use- and almost as fun- as the toy itself. The control panel is located on the top of the handle, with the large buttons concave in shape, molding perfectly for the fingers to find and rest on in use. There are essentially three buttons, both button 1 (+) and 3 (-) are one long button, that when pressed on either side, changes its command. It is punctuated by button number 2 (O), that sits in the middle and is small, round, and pronounced in shape. Not only is it easy to distinguish this button, but it then becomes easy to distinguish the other two.

Pressing the (+) button will power on the unit, increase speeds, or move through vibration patterns when in pulse mode. The (-) button will power the unit off, decrease vibration speeds, or move backwards through patterns when in pulse mode. The (O) button will change the settings back and forth from constant vibration to pulse mode. The toy turns on easily with one quick push of the (+) button, and powers off by holding the (-) button for 2 seconds.. This, along with the control locking feature that prevents against accidental powering, make this toy ideal for those who need to be discreet or are looking for a travel companion.

But perhaps the coolest feature of Zook is its lighted LED interface. Once powered on and put in pulse mode, it lights up not only in time with the pulses, but also changes color based on which of the 15 settings it’s on. This makes it easy to remember which patterns are your favorite and be able to find them quickly. And FYI, if you like to be teased, try holding the (O) button down for 2 seconds. It will cause Zook to cycle through all 15 modes in 3 second intervals. Wow!

Pulse patterns are as follows:

White: slow escalating low to high
Aqua: medium escalating low to high
Blue: fast escalating low to high
Gold: Throbbing rollercoaster back and forth from g-spot end to clit end
Red: Fast throbbing rollercoaster with intensity more concentrated in clit stim
Orange: Throbbing rollercoaster with pause-beat:
Green: Two fast pulses and pause in clit stimulator with constant in shaft
Deep Pink: long low to high revving with pause at end of high
Spring Green: low to high escalation with two quick pulses at end in clit stim
Purple/Pink: Fast pulses
Light Green: Fast throbbing, almost constant
Dark Blue: Slower pronounced throbbing, almost constant
Fuchsia: Fast pulsing throb with long constant buzz at end of cycle
Pink/Purple: Faster pulsing throb with long constant buzz at end of cycle
Peach: High constant throb

Zook has two motors, one located in the head of the shaft, the other located in the shaft below the clit stimulator. The stimulator itself has no motor, though the vibrations to resonate through the stimulator pretty well. However, if strong and direct clitoral vibrations are needed, this may not provide enough stimulation. Fortunately, because it is very flexible, the stimulator can be easily moved to the side to allow for another clit toy to provide additional vibrations.

The vibrations of both motors are the deep rumbling kind, and are moderate-high in intensity. Very comparable to Lelo Ina, though not quite as strong. It is fairly quiet in use and would not be heard through a closed door, and possibly not over white noise on the lower settings. Because there are two motors, some of the patterns to have a very unique feel to them as the pulses swing from one motor to the other. This provides the feeling of movement within since one motor sits near the g-spot, and the other at your entrance. All in all, the experience is remarkable and every bit as luxurious as the design promises it to be.

CARE AND MAINTANCE

To best maintain the rechargeable battery-life, always try to recharge Zook before it is completely drained of power, or after every 1 ½ hours of play or 60 days of stand-by time. This includes charging your new toy as soon as it arrives, which only took about an hour (completely drained battery may take 2 hours). When battery-life is very low, the LED interface will blink red 10 times and then shut-off. However, unlike other vibes, Zook’s interface will change colors as it charges; from red indicating no power, to orange, yellow, light green, green, and finally blue as it receives a full charge. The user manual gives a complete breakdown of what percentage of power is left as indicated by the colors. It is also possible to check how much power is left by holding down the (O) button for two seconds, the color that it illuminates indicates how much charge is left. How cool is that?

Zini’s Zook is compatible only with water-based lubes. Never use lotions, oil or silicone-based lubes as they could cause the material to deteriorate. Zook is waterproof, making him super easy to give a thorough cleaning to with only warm water and soap, but be sure that the Zini flap that covers the charging port is completely closed to prevent water from entering the motor. However, you can also use your favorite toy cleaner product, or a 10% bleach solution and allow to dry. Always store Zook in the included toy pouch, or at least back in the box it arrived in to protect the silicone from damage and keep separated from other toys.

PACKAGING

When it comes to Zini, the presentation is all class! The black box sports a geometric diamond design that reflects light off its pattern, making some of the boxes appear silver. In the corner is “Zini” stamped in metallic silver, lending to the whole effect of superior class and discreet presentation. The box has a magnetic lid that keeps the box closed and is ideal for storage of Zini, or even a couple other toys should fit in there as well.

When first opened the Zook is immediately on top held in a recloseable black cardstock and plastic clamshell hanger that lifts out. Tucked in underneath are the charger, two multi-language user manuals, 1 year warranty (keep your receipt), and toy pouch that matches the box. The box would be fantastic for presenting Zook as a gift, and is suitable for storage for multiple toys.

PERSONAL COMMENTS
I would have really, really loved this toy if it had had a motor in the clit stimulator. As it is, I still like it a lot, but I do find myself pulling out another toy to stimulate my clit, making me wonder what good the stimulator is for at all. Especially since they have the Ran, which is sans that extra piece that just kinda gets in the way. However, with the unique interface, ease of use, general user-friendliness from beginner to advanced- I still recommend this toy to anyone seeking firm a g-spotting toy with powerful vibrations and lots of variety. For those who want more from a clit stimulator, you may want to look more towards Lelo Ina, Jopen Vr3 or Vr6.

Review of Edible Body Chocolate by Babeland: A Must Have For Chocolate Lovers!

Edible Body Chocolate by Babeland
Size:
2 oz for $12, 4 oz for $22
Flavor:
chocolate/cocoa
Love It Rating:

I just want to scoop out the entire contents and eat them right now. The end.

Okay fine, if you don’t want to just take my word for it, I’ll tell you more. The Edible Body Chocolate by Babeland is made exclusively for Babeland by Sweet Beauty and is pretty incredible. It comes in a 2 oz jar with a black label and lid. Normally I’d say that a jar this size should go pretty far, but since it is chocolate, I have a sneaking suspicion it might not make it to my next sex with hubby!

It does have a shelf life of 18 months (but who could have it that long without using it!?), and should be stored in a cool place. When it arrived to me at room temperature, I found that it was not a “cream” like other products, but a semi-solid state that would come off in a thin sheet over your warm finger when you try to get some out. I did try placing it in the refrigerator thinking that it would keep it cool while maybe adding some temperature play to the scene, but it did not work well that way! This made it almost as solid as a candy bar, and there was clearly no way to get any significant amount out of the jar until it had time to sit at room temperature for a while.

So, let me just tell you what’s really important. Yes, it really does smell and taste like chocolate, and that is thanks to it actually having cocoa in it rather than artificial flavors. It contains:
Sugar, organic cocoa powder, safflower oil, organic coconut oil, organic cocoa butter, and vanilla.
So, we’re not talking about a bunch of chemicals and artificial flavors, this is the real deal. My husband and I both agree that this tastes very much like chocolate fudge, definitely more like fudge than a chocolate candy bar or something. At any rate, if you are a chocolate fan like I am, you are going to love this!

Both my husband and I really enjoyed this product and found that it increased the amount of time we spent on foreplay (no wonder!). I do have to caution though that because it does contain sugar, this should not be used on ladybits. The sugar could cause a yeast or even bacterial infection. However, it is good for use pretty much anywhere else on the body. We particularly enjoyed placing some on the neck, lips, nipples, and stomach area… but get creative. This is also very fun to place on the shaft, turning your man into a personal fudgsicle! It can even be used to paint sexy messages on the body because it goes on brown in color.

So, let me reiterate- if you like chocolate, buy this now. If you don’t, you’re weird and I don’t know what’s wrong with you!

Thank you Babeland for sending my your Edible Body Chocolate to review!

Love It Rating :

I found my g-spot awhile ago, and I think I even squirted once, but g-spotting has not resulted in consistent orgasmic bliss for me. So when I seen that in addition to their G-spot and Ejaculation page  GoodVibes was offering up an educational video from the Gush Series that claims to be “The Official Guide To The G-spot and Female Ejaculation”, I knew I had to check it out! It comes in either a stream to own version for $9.95 or the full DVD for $29.95, but I got the DVD.

There are 5 scenes that make up the main feature, with each one being separated by a snippet from a radio talk show with Dr. Carol Queen addressing questions about g-spotting and female ejaculation. There seemed to be no connection to the questions that were asked and the scenes that followed, making the whole thing seem a bit disjointed. The answers that were given seemed accurate per other articles and research I have done, although none of them were unique to me. I found the answers could pretty much be found in any article you might stumble upon regarding g-spotting.

The scenes themselves features “real-life” actors, and by that I mean not just the skinny big-boobed porn stars you see in mainstream men’s videos, but beautiful women of all shapes and sizes. The other most striking difference compared to mainstream would be that the focus of the play was pretty much solely on the woman (receiver), and it was clear that the pleasure and orgasms were real. Anything less would have been a true disappointment in a video claiming to be a “guide”, but I found it noteworthy none the less.

Each of the scenes did result in a squirting orgasm, multiple in some of them. The five scenes were pretty diverse as far pairings go; two were male-female couples, two were female-female couples- one scene was interracial, and one was a solo scene with Jiz Lee. Most of the couples did use fingers as the main event, although there was some penetration in the last scene. And of course what guide could be complete without the appearance of at least a couple g-spotting toys!? The Njoy Pure Wand and infamous Hitachi were both featured more than once, the G-twist, a standard slim-line vibe, a fantasticly large-looking glass plug that I didn’t recognize, and what appeared to be Vixskin Randy. So yes, a star-studded cast indeed!

I did enjoy that the couples openly communicated to each other, often instructing the giver on exactly what technique they needed at a given time. I think far too often mainstream porn would have many couples believe that all a guy has to do is stick it in and it should feel good. However, as far as actual guidance during the scenes of someone giving any instructions or even just referring to what was happening was completely non-existent. They were visually appealing and would be perfect for showing someone what they could expect female ejaculation to look like, but there was no actual teaching involved.

If the whole video contained only the main feature, I would end up rating this only 1.5/5. Fortunately the “extras” were chock-full of information, though I am kinda disappointed that they are only there as extras when they really should have been more of the main event. If you are serious about learning about g-spotting and female ejaculation, you can pretty much skip the feature and just watch the extras. So let me break them down for ya:

First is G-spot Hunting with Dr. Queen. She appears to be sitting in her office, giving the feeling of being in an informal teaching session that remind me of community college classes, while enthusiastically dispelling some common myths such as “there is no such thing as the g-spot”, “female ejaculate is really pee”, or “all g-spot orgasms will result in ejaculation”. She does visit 7 common myths with detailed explanations and rational, and then goes on to give two “challenges”.

The first challenge is in finding a good toy to start g-spot exploring and play, with Dr. Queen actually showing a couple of common g-spotter toys such as the Njoy Pure Wand, G-twist, Siren, G-swirl, and the We-Vibe. Don’t expect a full review and overlook of these toys, but she does demonstrate what to look for in terms of material, shape, vibration, and hardness. The second challenge is dealing with shame regarding everything from orgasmic ability to the idea of female ejaculation. While not so much of a challenge per se, I found it a great lesson in acceptance and expectations.

There are two extras that are both cast reviews. The first is a review from all the cast mates, and I found this on of the most informational portions of the DVD from the perspective of what it actually feels like to have a g-spot orgasm and ejaculate, dealing with introducing partners to the concept, and even talking about what techniques and toys work best. The second interview is with solely Mikey and Dylan who describe in-depth their g-spotting experiences. As fantastic as any educator might be, nothing compares to hearing the experiences directly from the women who are able to achieve these orgasms.

Finally is a slideshow with a voice-over from nurse educator Sheri Winston. The entire presentation is 45 minutes long, and while it could have been better, was probably the best educational portion of the whole DVD. She really spends a lot of time (I mean a lot!) talking about the actual anatomy of a woman. It is incredible how many woman are not familiar with their own equipment, so while as a nurse this felt like 20 minutes of wasted time, for those who don’t know much about their or their partner’s parts, you need to see this. My only complaint is that none of the slides were labeled and if you really had no idea what structures you were looking at, it would be very easy to get lost. So if this is you, be sure to google a diagram with labels and get familiar with it first before starting the slideshow.

The second portion of the slideshow moves from strictly anatomy, to the physiology of orgasm and female ejaculation. Put this way, I actually learned something from this part of the guide that I hadn’t read anywhere else. Like everyone else I wondered, “if its not pee, that what is it?”. The diagrams and discussion really does a great job demonstrating how this does not come from the bladder, etc. And of course the obligatory “how to stimulate the g-spot” and all that.

My biggest complaint with the educator is that she presents many of her theories as facts, when many of them are not widely accepted as proven scientific facts yet. This does include the female ejaculate discussion and a couple other small items. This then puts some of the teachings between Dr. Queen and Sheri Winston directly at odds with each other.

I don’t think this takes away from the information given, but one should keep in mind while watching that in general, there are many theories surrounding the g-spot and female ejaculation, but very little research has proven any of them conclusively. Therefore, take in what information is given, but keep your mind open to new research that may prove or disprove certain theories.

Thank you Good Vibrations for sending me GUSH: The Official Guide To The G-spot And Female Ejaculation to review.

Crazy 8 Cock-ring by Cal Exotics
Color:
Red
Shape:
Double rings for dual support
Size:
One size fits all
Love It Rating:

My husband is not a huge fan of cock-rings and wasn’t overly excited when I wanted to introduce this one. But the Crazy 8 cock-ring by California Exotics is beginner-friendly and non-intimidating, so he was just barely willing to give it a try.

This c-ring is made out of TPR, a durable derivative of plastic that is latex & phthalates-free and body-safe. Some might consider it a con that its not the hygienically-superior silicone, but for those who are using this in a monogamous relationship shouldn’t find any problems. And for those who aren’t….. well, stock up! Anyway, the reason this works better in TPR than silicone is that TPR is super-stretchy and accommodating.

The TPR is shiny, a true red color (unlike the product pics which look almost pink), and has a high amount of drag. This is far more comfortable when worn if you do a little man-scaping first, otherwise you may find that it tends to tug at pubic hair. Yet, it is this same drag that helps it to stay firmly in place in use, so again, not really a con.

The c-ring features double rings that encase both the penis with one ring, and the scrotum with the second. Rather than the rings being made from a standard cylindrical shape, this looks almost like a square log rolled into two rings, and then connected by a small band. I don’t believe this serves any functional purpose, but it is more anesthetically pleasing. For some reason, each time I look at this it reminds me of a spider (Then along came a spider, who crawled up beside her, and Little Miss Muffet cried “oh, yay!”).

I actually think this ring is a bit more forgiving to put on than other rings because, again, it’s so stretchy. It starts at ¾“ for the shaft and 1” for the scrotum unstretched, but will accommodate sizes larger than a pop can. I can’t see fit being an issue for most men. It is also due to this that I didn’t find any need to put this on prior to erection, like you may have with solid types.

It does help if both the shaft and penis are well-lubed with either water or silicone-based lube first. Grasp the smaller of the rings with both hands, stretch fully, and you should be able to place it at the base of the penis without having to slide it at all. Ditto for the scrotal portion. Just remember to release gently as this works somewhat like a rubber-band (unless you‘re into that). And remember that c-rings shouldn’t be in place for more than 20 minutes or so as they do decrease the amount of circulation.

So how it worked…

My husband and I really enjoyed the Crazy 8. It worked well for its intended purpose, which is to sustain longer, harder erections by decreasing blood-flow (note: I said decrease, not cut off! If you ever see a blue or purple tint remove the ring immediately. Though again, I doubt that would happen with this ring). For him, he said that it was comfortable to wear- both when using the scrotal portion or without- stayed in place, and resulted in a bigger orgasm.

For me? Well, can’t say I didn’t enjoy the longer, harder erection. I also found that the material had a bit of give and was not really noticeable during sex. The material seemed to warm pretty quickly to body temperature and felt less like using an inanimate object during sex, than simply an extension of our bodies (if that makes sense).

But you know what? I really just hate to let someone else have all the fun- even my husband. So after trying this out in the bedroom, I was on the prowl for other fun uses for this toy, and wouldn’t you know, I found some!

So what are some alternative ways to use this…
First of all, I found success in turning the ring upside-down and using the scrotal portion to hold a bullet vibe. This works especially well with egg-shaped bullets, or those that have a larger diameter. Inversely, if you switch the rings and place the larger diameter ring over the shaft of a dildo, the ¾” ring will be a tighter fit for smaller bullets. With this, however, you will just want to ensure that you do not have the rings lubricated, or it may cause the bullet to slide more easily out of the ring. Obviously, you can try this either with your partner or on a dildo. (Dildo + c-ring + bullet = rabbit!).

A second option is to fold the rings, placing them on top of one another, and slide them both over the shaft of a penis or a dildo that is on the longer side. With the rings doubled, it will reduce the stroking depth up to ¾”, decreasing the chances of it hitting the cervix. Should you try this with a partner be sure it doesn’t decrease the amount of circulation too much, and remove it if it causes pain, discoloration, or swelling (not related to the erection, of course!).

Anything else…
The ring arrived to my house in a clear plastic clamshell with a cardstock insert that had some basic product information. It was neither discreet, nor would it be suitable for storage.

Maintenance is pretty simple. The ring is compatible with both silicone and water-based lubes. And clean-up is no problem with only a bit of warm water and soap, or some favorite toy cleaner. Allow to dry after cleaning and keep in a Ziploc bag to prevent damage to the material.

Review of Better Than Chocolate Music Edition by OhMiBod and Nomi Tang

Better Than Chocolate Music Edition
By OhMiBod and Nomi Tang
Type: Powered by 4 AAA batteries
Noise:
Power:
Love It Rating:

Can you believe I actually won this toy? Yep! From EdenCafe. How cool is that? I never win anything.

How it came…
Every of detail of this vibe has been carefully thought of and presented in a way that makes you realize how fantastic this toy is. The Better Than Chocolate Music Edition (BTCME) arrived in a plastic sealed box with a four-sided cardboard wrap that showcased a picture of the toy and alerts the user that it was a reddot design award winner in 2010. The sides and bottom give product highlights and some user information.

What I really like about this is that it gives the product information that you really want/need, especially if you are purchasing this in a store. But this wrap slides right off the box leaving you with a fabric covered, white textured box that has only the OhMiBod and Nomi Tang logos on the top. This is perfect for presenting as a gift and opens hinge-style, like a jewelry box, to the toy, satin toy pouch, user manual, and transmitter in a gorgeous satin-lined bed. Very classy.

How it works…
For my friends out there who are technically challenged, you might want to start with the instruction manual. It is certainly possible to figure this one out, but it can be confusing at first. Of course I will take you through the basics.

So after reading through the user manual very briefly, I stuffed 2 AAA batteries in the toy, and another 2 in the music transmitter and was ready to go. I pushed the power button, which is located near the base of the toy, where the batteries go. Once the toy is on, the LED light on the slider lights up blue. I love that it is separate from the slider, making it easy to turn off quickly should someone drop by unexpectedly.

It starts always at the lowest level, but this can be adjusted by managing the “touch slider” that works like the touch pad on a laptop computer. Nothing actually presses down like buttons, you just slide your finger in the direction you want it to go. Making an upward sliding motion will increase the power of the toy from low to high, or anything in between. Reverse this motion to decrease the power.

If you hold your finger on the front of the slider for two seconds it will lock on that setting, and the LED light will stay red. To unlock, repeat the process until the LED turns back to blue. Changing through the four pre-programmed modes is just as easy, hold you finger on the NT symbol for 2 seconds and the pattern will change. The LED light will blink in time with the pulses, which are as follows:

1) Constant vibration. The higher you adjust the intensity, the stronger it gets.
2) Escalation low to high. The higher you adjust the intensity, the faster it goes.
3) Rhythmic high pulses. The higher you adjust the intensity, the faster it goes.
4) Random one speed pulses with varying lengths and pauses.

Honestly, they aren’t too hard to figure out, but they do take some getting used to. I like the originality factor, but I’m not totally sold on the slider instead of buttons. I often find myself not being sure if I’ve actually changed anything, and then end up changing it to a different pattern than the one I wanted. And that’s when I can see what I’m doing, I usually try not to bother changing settings in use.

How it works with music…
So adding the music controlled experience is probably the easiest part. As you can probably tell from the above, this thing will work completely independent of an MP3 player, but this does add an interesting feature. You need only add 2 AAA batteries to the white OhMiBod transmitter, plug the jack-pin into your MP3 player, and your headphones into the other side of the transmitter. Alternately you can use the extended cord and plug this into anything with an AUX-in audio output (like a radio, TV, computer, etc.) to transmit the sound. Once both ends are connected, simply turn on your MP3 player and then turn on the transmitter. Oh yeah, and it’s a wireless transmitter. You don’t have to do anything to the toy, it will detect when the transmitter is on. Easy, right?

With the transmitter on, the LED light will glow purple instead of blue and pulse with the beat of your music. Adjusting the turn dial on the transmitter will make it more sensitive to the music, turning it down will have the opposite effect. Basically, the transmitter is picking up on the bass in the songs. If you are listening to rock n roll, you probably want the transmitter a bit lower so it doesn’t just buzz constantly. For slower music, you might want to adjust it higher. Obviously, this can be a pain to keep adjusting each time it changes songs. With a little preparation you can pre-choose songs that have similar amounts of bass and then you don’t have to mess with it at all during playtime.

How’s that crazy shape work?
Pretty good actually. I love the shape. I wasn’t sure I would be completely sold on it before I actually tried it, but now I want all my clit vibes to have this deep angle. I found the toy sat flawlessly over my mons and the stimulator reached my clit perfectly.

I have to say, my initial assessment was that the wings were just to add to the aesthetics, but they are actually quite functional. Not only did it make the toy comfortable to hold without having to worry about losing my grip, but it was ideal when for when I closed my legs around it. The wings made my legs wrap securely and comfortably around it, while creating a pocket in which I was able to still manage the controls. Genius!

So, is it a good vibrator or what?
Well, it does have the nice deep-rumbly vibrations that I love. Power-wise…. it’s decent. I wouldn’t call it weak, but its only about as strong as a regular bullet. But for some reason, I find that the vibrations tend to get very diffused throughout the tip where the they should be focused. And because of this I cannot orgasm with the toy. I love it for foreplay and teasing, and its great in the shower or tub (although the slider will lock in the water so be sure to have it on the setting you want before getting wet), but it just doesn’t work as a go-to toy. Honestly, if it weren’t for the fact that it vibrated to music and was so original, it would probably get lost in the bottom of the toy chest. But as it does add a little something extra to the experience, so I will break it out occasionally.

Is it easy to clean and maintain?

The BTCME is made of smooth medical-grade matte silicone that glides easily over the skin with little or no lube. If you do choose to use lube, be sure to only use water-based lubes or risk ruining your toy. Because the transmitter is wireless, it should not require special cleaning. If you should touch it with sticky fingers, just wipe clean some rubbing alcohol. The toy itself should be cleaned with warm water and soap, or toy cleaner. If you would like, you can sterilize with a 10% bleach solution. Remove the batteries prior to storing to extend battery-life and store in the box or included satin toy pouch.

Thank you EdenCafe for sponsoring these fantastic weekly contests. You can get your own Better Than Chocolate Music Edition by OhMiBod and Nomi Tang from EdenFantasys for $98.99.

Review of the Bunny Tickler by Toyfriend: If You Don't Have A Boyfriend, Get A Toyfriend!

When you don’t have a boyfriend, get a Toyfriend! Actually, a Toyfriend Mini. This thing is just so absolutely adorable. There are actually six Toyfriend shapes in total, I have the bunny, but all of them look cute and functional in completely different ways. But I must take one issue with them…. they seriously lack power!

Normally lack of power would be a total deal-breaker for me, and negate that said toy be banned to the closet storage, but this one does offer some additional advantages that certainly are worth a closer look.

First of all, this has incredible, amazing, luxury silicone. Actually, I’m not sure there is any such thing as luxury silicone, but if there is, this would be it. It’s totally smooth and seam-free, but feels more incredible than the most expensive velvet. With little or no lube it glides easily over the skin. “Tickler” is embossed on the side in large letters, and could be used to create a bit of extra texture if desired.

When they say mini, they’re not kidding, but it is large enough to keep a good grip on. The entire toy is 5 ¼”, and the little bunny ears are 2” long, perfect length to provide plenty of clit or nipple stimulation. So this is what I really love about this toy… the ears actually have a bit of give to them, but aren’t overly flexible. I find I am able to get a lot of stimulation just from separating the ears and placing them around my clit or nipple. They have enough flex to be comfortable, but provide enough of a pinch to feel ahhhhmazing! And with little circular movements…. well, do I really need to elaborate?

Oh yeah, did I mention this little guy is waterproof? Mmmhhmm. So- luxury silicone, cute, waterproof, fantastic shape- of course it has to have a downfall. It does. As you might expect from the fact that it takes an N battery (which is a downfall in itself, but don’t get me started), it seriously lacks power. And what power it does have seems to be more focused on the handle than the ears or the “nose”, which is broad spot under the ears that is great for direct stimulation and pressure. And the vibrations not only lack power, but also are very high-frequency and buzzy. And since I’m on it, I definitely wish it had more speeds or even some pulse patterns.

I find myself using this toy a lot for nipple stimulation, where I actually need the pinching pressure more than vibration. For that matter, my clit likes this for the same reason. Its great for foreplay and creates a unique sensation that I can’t find with other vibes, but is not enough to get me off. With more power, this thing could be a real relationship instead of just the occasional booty call.

The Toyfriend Bunny Tickler is compatible with water-based lubes only, such as Blossom Organics products. Cleaning is simple with soap and water or toy cleaner, or sterilizing by wiping with a 10% bleach solution. You should store your Toyfriend in a toy pouch or plastic bad (not included) with the battery removed to extend battery-life.

USE
With its long length and gentle vibrations, this vibrator will be most useful for those looking for a teasing toy for couple’s foreplay. And because the entire shaft is bendable and maintains its position makes it easy to maneuver by a partner, or for easy reaching during solo play. The Power Duo Balls are both quiet and waterproof, making them ideal for use it almost any setting and can be enjoyed by both partners internally and all over externally. However, a condom is recommended for anal probing.

MATERIAL / TEXTURE
The Power Duo Balls are a combination of body-safe ABS plastic created balls and handle, and a PVC coated shaft. The balls are PU coated and feel velvety-soft and smooth. Little to no lube is needed as the material glides easily over the skin with minimal drag. Each ball does have a fine seam running the complete width, and while it is visible and detectable by the touch, it shouldn’t be noticed in use unless the user is very sensitive.

The PVC shaft is light and aides in making this toy watertight. The shaft is also completely smooth, but in a silky way, and has slightly more drag than the balls. However, they still would not require much lube for comfort. The shaft has no seams is a phthalates-free material.

The entire toy had no noticeable scent and is universal for both beginners to advanced, and everyone in between.

DESIGN / SHAPE / SIZE
Much longer than traditional toys; the Power Duo Balls come in at 15 inches in length, with 9 ½” of which being insertable, and 5 ½” allocated to making the handle comfortable for gripping and holding onto. The shaft, which is actually pencil thin and very flexible, will hold whichever shape the user creates. They can be bent in an arc to make for easier reaching during solo, or bent so the balls are side by side, doubling the amount of vibration. The shaft itself is very thin and should not be expected to add to the stimulation in any way other than in making this toy customizable in shape.

Each of the balls is just smaller than that of a ping-pong ball and are only 1 1/3” in diameter with 3 ½” between the two balls. The size makes this appropriate for insertion by users of all skill levels, although it may not provide quite enough stimulation for size-queens.

This toy is semi-discreet in appearance, although it begs the question, “what is that?” if seen lying around. In size, this toy is too long to be tucked away easily without being noticed unless packed in a suitcase, and probably would not make a very easy traveling companion.

FUNCTIONS / PERFORMANCE / CONTROLS
As indicated by the name, this vibe has 7 functions that are controlled via the push-button located on the bottom of the base. The button is small, but easily felt and pushed during use, although it can get a bit slick if your fingers have lube on them. It is simple to control this toy. Push once to turn the toy on, defaulting always to the lowest level of vibration. From there each push will advance through the 3 levels of vibration, 4 pulse patterns, and then back to “off”. Sadly, you cannot move backwards through the patterns, nor does it have an emergency shut-off feature. The patterns are as follows:

1.) low level vibration
111111111111111111111111111111111111
2.) medium level vibration
222222222222222222222222222222222222
3.) high level vibration
3333333333333333333333333333333333333
4.) fast medium pulses
2 2 2 2 2 2 2 2 2 2 2 2 2 2 2 2 2 2 2 2 2 2 2 2 2
5.) fast medium pulse with extended pulse every 5th beat
2 2 2 2 222 2 2 2 2 222 2 2 2 2 222 2 2 2 2 222
6.) low to high roller coaster
1122333221112233322111223332211133322111
7.) low to high slow pulses that escalate (great for teasing)
11 11 22 22 33 33 33 11 11 22 22 33 33 33

If the bottom of the base that houses this control is twisted, it will open, revealing the battery compartment which will house 2 AA batteries which are not included. Battery-life with this toy is decent, and you can expect to get over an hour of use on one set of batteries.

The vibrations, even on the highest settings, would only be considered mild-moderate in intensity. The high-frequency vibes are located only in the two balls and buzz gently over the skin for excellent external stimulation and teasing, and resonate when inserted. With the shaft bent so that both balls are side by side, it is possible to stimulate the entire outer labia and clit simultaneously.

If one ball is bent in an arc and the other is straight, it works great to provide light g-spot stimulation and clitoral stim at the same time. However, because the shaft is relatively short between the balls, this may not work to for those with deeper spots.

The Power Duo Balls are completely waterproof and can be both in the shower or bathtub for some slippery wet fun. In the shower the noise of this toy is completely drowned out, but even on land this is pretty quiet and wouldn’t likely be heard through a closed door. However, in some positions it does make an almost rattling sound that can be somewhat distracting. Usually only a small adjustment is needed to quiet the rattling.

CARE AND MAINTANCE
California Exotics recommends using only water-based lubes with this toy and cleaning thoroughly with soap and water between each use. However, both plastic and PVC can be used with silicone-based lubes so this is also a possibility. If you have any concerns, be sure to spot test a small, inconspicuous area first to test for a material reaction. Cleaning can also be done with a universal toy cleaner. However, this material is not considered sterilizable and should always be covered with a condom if sharing with partners or inserting anally.

Storing the 7 Function Power Duo Balls can be a bit of a challenge. It does not arrive with a toy pouch and it is not easy to find a toy pouch that will fit all 15 inches of this toy. However, it is possible to find a small fabric remnant at your local craft store and simply cut to size and roll around the toy prior to storing with other toys or in a discreet location.

PACKAGING
The 7 Function Power Duo Balls arrived in a non-discreet clear plastic recloseable clamshell with a purple polka-dot paper background that has the product name in large letters, a picture of the toy demonstrating motion, and some product highlights. Although it included no user manual, there are some very brief instructions on the back that address battery insertion and cleaning.

PERSONAL COMMENTS
I think this toy adds great spice to couple’s play and those looking for something to add lots of “tease” to foreplay or solo. However, neither the shape, nor the vibrations are conducive for taking most users from start to finish. So those who are seeking an “all-in-one” toy, this probably isn’t it.
