Review of Yooo by Fun Factory: Yooo Gotta Try It!

Its not very often that a toy will come along and have me thinking, “I have to have it” and “what the heck do you do with it” at the same time. But Fun Factory’s Yooo had me with both. I love Fun Factory. I love their unique and creative designs. Perhaps most of all, I love their power!

From the moment it arrived, it looked like, well… Fun. Fun Factory really has their own brand of packaging. Its not classy-elegant like Lelo, yet its not trashy-cheap like others either. The sturdy, silver metallic box with red trim is small and excitingly colored with pictures of different colored Yooos’ and bubbles. The top and side portion are cut-out, allowing the Yooo to be seen in its clear, recloseable plastic clamshell. Inside the box was a multi-language instruction manual and a pamphlet containing other Fun Factory products. The “click ’n’ charge” charger was included in a separate matching box, and is compatible with other “click-n-charge” models.

When I first touched the Yooo, I was surprised at how plush and squishy the balls were. I had expected it to be silicone covered plastic, but instead the silicone has a decent amount of squeeze that makes it very comfortable for everything from a neck massage to intimate play.

The silicone itself is very smooth, with a moderate amount of drag, and comes over half-way up the third ball. There, the matte, white, ABS-plastic cap punctuates the control panel. There is a nearly invisible seam that runs completely around the underside of the balls, that I was not even able to feel with my fingers, let alone in use.

There are three balls. The top one houses the controls and muffles the vibrations from the other two balls. It is perfectly palm-sized, at about the size of a golf-ball, and makes manipulating the vibrator easy. The second ball is slightly smaller than the top, and the third ball is the smallest of all, at approximately the size of a ping-pong ball.

On this initial inspection, I noticed that simply running my fingers over the control panel (without pushing anything) caused the control panel to light up. An excellent feature for night-time play! At this point I was completely tempted to turn the unit on and check out the patterns, but I just managed hold myself back, as the Yooo requires charging before the first use. The manual stated this would take near 6 hours for the first charge, with subsequent charges requiring less time. Happily, I found that it took only 4.

Charging is a simple affair. Plug the charger into the wall, and then line up the charger to the “FUN” logo on the center of the control panel. Because it is magnetic, the points will automatically align themselves. A red light will illuminate to indicate that the surfaces are properly aligned. Although the only issue I found was that if the Yooo is bumped or moves during charging, it can cause the charger to slide from its alignment, so be sure to place where it won’t be disturbed for several hours. Charging is complete when the face is illuminated white and the red “charging” indicator is off.

Yay! Now its time to play.

There are three buttons on the control panel, situated in a triangle-shape, with the “FUN” logo in the middle. The button on the left ( + ) will power the unit when held for two seconds. Each subsequent push will increase the power. Holding the button will cause the power to escalate quickly from the lowest setting to the highest setting. Once the highest setting is reached, hold for one second to access the pulse patterns, and push to scroll through them.

The button on the right ( - ) will decrease the vibration levels. If held, it will quickly descend from the highest level to the lowest level. From the lowest level, one ensuing push will power the unit off. Unfortunately, there is no “emergency” off, and the ( - ) control will only decrease the power, not move backwards through the pulse patterns.

So this brings us to the last button, the ( * ) control on the top. When held, it will access a super high level of vibration. I love the power that this button creates. When pushed again, it will return you to the previous level or pattern. A con from this button is that the manual states play time can be reduced to as a minimum of 30 minutes in constant orgasm mode. And the buttons can be a bit of a pain to manipulate as they require a firm push. On the other hand, this is sometimes a benefit, as it keeps me from accidentally changing the settings.

SPEEDS: there are 8 distinct speeds, starting from a deep low-frequency rumble increasing up to a high-frequency penetrating buzz. Each ball is at the same speeds, as they cannot be independently controlled.

PATTERNS:
(SB= small ball, LB= large ball)

1.) rolling rollercoaster low to high, and side to side from each ball simulating movement

The vibrations from Yooo are awesome! They are incredibly strong, similar to the Fun Factory Delight, and feature a high-frequency rumble. Admittedly, I am someone who is not easily impressed by external vibrators. Don’t get me wrong, I love them, but too often I find they just aren’t powerful enough and I end up switching to an electric vibe to finish. But with the Yooo, there is no need. It really packs a punch! This is probably in part due to each of the balls having its own motor…uh huh, two motors.

And this brings us back to my initial question; what the heck to do with it? Well, the possibilities are limited only by your imagination. However, I do have a few suggestions to get you started: (to lubricate, use only water-based lubes)

-Give your partner (or yourself) a back and neck massage. Yes, its strong enough.
-Put the head of his penis between the balls and turn on to the rolling pattern.
-Put one ball on his penis and one on his scrotum while giving oral sex.
-Match up Yooo’s balls with the underside of his balls. Male motorboat?
-Place one of Yooo’s balls under his balls, and use the other to massage his perineum.
-Twist the toy so the balls swirl around your nipples. Wowza!
-Run the balls slowly up and down on either side of your labia. Tease!
-Place the Yooo up and down, with one ball on the mons and one on the clit. My favorite!
-Place one ball on the clit and the other just inside your entrance. And try it with your legs closed around it. Hands free for reading!
-Place the ball inside and use the other to massage the perineum.

Because each of the balls has its own motor, the patterns are more unique and more effective than standard vibrators. So be sure to try each of these placements using different patterns (especially the rolling pattern, which simulates movement). I guess what I learned is that there isn’t one right way to use this, rather, there is no wrong way!

Cleaning is a breeze with the Yooo. Simply wipe with toy cleaner or mild soap and warm water. Be mindful, however, not to get water near the control panel as Yooo is not waterproof. To sanitize, wipe with a 10% bleach solution and allow to dry. Although Yooo is not a lint magnet, I still suggest storing in a toy pouch with other silicone toys.

If you would like to try Yooo, it is available at Edenfantasys for only $119.00.

Review of MiMi by Je Joue: MiMi is for Me! Me!

MiMi ~Je Joue
Noise:
Power:
Love It Rating:

I have been so disappointed in the rechargeable clit vibes in the past, so I had only one reason I was willing to give the petite MiMi a chance: I already knew Je Joue for making some incredible products, like my beloved SaSi.

And I confess, this one had me at hello. The infamous Lelo has been usurped, Je Joue now holds the title for most attractive packaging. The outer box was dark rose and sealed in plastic. Inside was an elegant black-matte chest reminisce of a fine jewelry box, the lid held shut with two silky ribbons. It featured only the words “Je Joue” and their symbol on the top; discreet and classy enough to sit atop a dresser rather than being hid away. Untie the ribbon and the lid opens with MiMi herself on top to greet you. I loved that she was held on a molded black plastic shelf and lifted off easily. Tug the ribbon on the back of her tray and it opens to her charging cord and instruction manual.

So, at last I am holding MiMi in my excited little hands, and I’m not overly impressed. Don’t get me wrong, she was plain and beautiful at the same time. With her seamless, smooth, butter-soft, velvety silicone and petite stone design, she was everything one expects in a luxury vibrator. But that’s exactly what had me worried; would she, like so many others, be all looks and no substance?

Of course, I had to wait to find out. Before the first use, MiMi needs to be fully charged. Taking note from Fun Factory’s “click ‘n’ charge” concept, MiMi’s metal plate magnetically snaps in the correct direction to the charger. When a firm connection is made, MiMi’s heart blinks red. When it glows steady, it is completely charged, though there is no need to worry about overcharging. My initial charge took only one hour.

Then it was time to find out if MiMi would deliver, or disappoint.

I palmed MiMi, examining her shape and lightness. She resembles an flat egg shape, 1” thick, and only 3x2” surface, and an easily held 2 ounces. Just above midway on the top “Je Joue” and their heart symbol are engraved into the silicone, with the heart glowing red when MiMi is turned-on. Kinda like me!

There are two buttons located on the end, where the charging-face is. They are pretty straight forward, the ( + ) button when held for two seconds powers the unit, with each subsequent push increasing the power and advancing through the pulse patterns. The ( - ) button will decrease the power, move backwards through the pulse patterns, or if held for 2 seconds, will power MiMi off.

But at last, the wait is over, and I power MiMi on. Immediately, I am surprised at how incredible and powerful the vibrations are. They are the perfect mixture of rumble and high-frequency, with the first settings favoring a deep rumble and the increasing speeds causing the frequency to become higher and higher. It is not, however, buzzy even at its highest speeds. I would say that it is perfectly (frequency-wise) in the middle of my Form 2, which is a higher frequency, and Siri, which boasts a lower frequency.

MiMi has five different and powerful speeds, and five pulse patterns. Before I give pulse patterns, I just have to reiterate, this toy is mega powerful. Even the lowest setting is not really low. And its highest setting? Well, lets just say that many of the more sensitive users probably won’t even make it that far!

PATTERNS:
1.) lowest setting- rumbles like a car’s engine
111111111111111111111111111111111111
2.) Low-medium- deep rumbles with a high-frequency speed

3.) Medium- equal mixture of rumble and high-frequency, strong enough to vibrate surrounding areas too.

4.) Medium-high- high-frequency with a background rumble

5.) High- strongest and highest frequency setting

6.) Medium-high long pulses with extended pauses

7.) Medium-high fast pulse
44 44 44 44 44 44 44 44 44 44 44 44 44 44 44
8.) Rollercoaster

9.) Revving low to high
111222333444555 111222333444555
10.) Fast revving from low to high with no pause
123451234512345123451234512345

Honestly, all the patterns are delicious. I’m not even sure I have a favorite. Although the vibrations are more concentrated in the tip, they are diffused throughout. This creates two issues for me. One, the vibrations are not pin-point, although they can be directed to just the clit by the way you hold her. Second, the vibrations, though muffled, do travel to the fingers and they can become sensitive after prolonged use.

Even with these mild issues, I still rank MiMi as one of my favorite vibes of all time. And the fact that she is waterproof? Devine! And so quiet she can’t be heard through a closed door or over white noise? Priceless!

Best of all, there are numerous ways to use her. Clearly, she is for external use only, but don’t let that limit the imagination. Cup her in your palm and rub her over your lover for a sensual massage. Slide the broad side down the length of his penis or under his scrotum for an extra thrill. Or best of all, place it under your tongue during oral sex to amp up the sensations.

For solo use, she is magic to the nipples. Rub the broad side from the edges of your breast in slow circles working inwards, then use the tip to flick the nipples. Probably my favorite way is to place the broad side against my labia and clit and close my legs around it and rock my pelvis. As I get close, I turn it to the side to concentrate the vibrations on my clit and sometimes add my Jollet. Amazing!

She is soft enough to use dry, but to add that slippery effect, use only water-based lubes. And because she is non-porous, she can be safely shared with a partner. To clean, wash thoroughly with mild soap and warm water or toy cleaner. To sterilize, simply wipe with a 10% bleach solution and allow to dry. MiMi is not nearly as much of a lint collector as her peers, but I still recommend storing in a toy pouch (not included) away from toys made from materials other than pure silicone.

Review of the Cone by Twisted Products: I'm In The Zone!

USE / DESIGN / SIZE
This incredibly unique vibrator is ideal for beginner to advanced ladies clitoral or perineal stimulation, and a wonderful aide for hands-free vibration during sex. If desired, it can even be used for shallow penetration. The Cone can easily be used simultaneously with a plug or dildo…. or both. Many men may also like the vibrations that can stimulate the taint area or other erogenous zones.
The Cone is approximately the size of a large cottage cheese container, having a nearly 8 inch diameter, and being 5 inches tall. The round pyramid tapers to a peak with a 45 degree angle. Its also pretty hefty, weighing in at 1lbs, 12 oz (with batteries). Though this may make lugging the Cone around a pain, it does make it more accessible and steady during use.

MATERIAL / TEXTUREThe Cone, by Twisted Products, is covered completely in seamless, matte, velvety-soft, 100% medical-grade silicone. The silicone is completely smooth, with no texture, excepting for controls, which are embedded beneath the silicone, and a triangle shape that marks the control panel and says “The Cone“. Under the silicone is a hard material (plastic, I’m assuming) that makes the toy rigid, with no give what-so-ever. At first I found this to be somewhat uncomfortable, but by using pillows, I was able to position myself so that I could keep my clit near the top of the toy without it actually causing pain from too much pressure. The bottom, which is essentially the battery cover, is made of ABS plastic with rubber feet that allow for gripping to hard surfaces. The toy had no taste or smell, nor does it retain odors, even though I stored in the same drawer as a sil-a-gel toy.

CONTROLS / FUNCTIONS The buttons on the Cone are silicone covered and fairly small, which can make them somewhat tricky to change in use, especially in positions that limit accessibility to the controls anyway. The best way to work around this is to be mindful of how you are positioning the Cone underneath you, and having the buttons turned slightly off-center, favoring your dominant hand.
The Cone features two buttons. The right button powers the unit, and starts on the first mode, when held for 2 seconds. If pushed again, the right button will automatically cause the mode to jump to mode 16, which is called orgasm mode (no, I didn’t make that up, but it is true). To turn the unit off, hold the right button for 2 seconds. So what is the left button for? Well, it advances the Cone through the other 14 modes, of course. For each advanced mode that the Cone enters, a red light will blink in the number that corresponds to the mode. Sadly, you cannot scroll backwards through the modes.

PERFORMANCE / MODESI have to say, this is easily the strongest non-electric vibe I own, and with 3 C batteries, its no wonder. This thing is a power-house!! The vibrations are not at all buzzy, but are that perfect combination of a deep and rumbly high-pitch that is easily felt. The vibrations are felt through the entire Cone, though you can get more pin-point pressure near the tip of the Cone. On the highest settings, I can feel the vibrations rumbling through my entire butt…. though the only part of the Cone I am touching is my clit and mons. When used during sex, the vibrations will travel to your partner (its that strong).
With so many modes and speeds to choose from, there is something for everyone. For me, this is one of the few vibrators I own that I can actually orgasm with, without having to grind on it for pressure. And when I do grind? Well, lets just say is amazing! The best thing about the Cone is that you can choose what areas, and how much you want that area stimulated, but adjusting your placement on the Cone. More on that later. Another feature that many will love is that it is waterproof. For me, I love that it makes the Cone easier to clean, but because the vibrations can be quite loud, and they are only amplified in the tub, and rattle against the shower, so I only use this one on land. In fact, if noise is a consideration, you might want to use this toy only when the house is empty. The Cone, with its 3 volts and 3000 rpm motor, can definitely be heard through a closed door, even with white noise.

PATTERNS(Many of the patterns take near 15 seconds to cycle completely through, so I have abbreviated them a bit.)

POSITIONS Because of the unique shape of the Cone, you won’t be able to use this toy the would a standard vibrator, so it does have a learning curve, and I do recommend this toy only to those who are willing to try new positions. Not only does the Cone pamphlet come with some suggestions, additional suggestions are offered at Cone Zone
Here I have pictured some basic suggestions and how they worked for me….

#1-- Probably my favorite way to use the Cone… although I have modified this position with pillows (see #14) to help keep my clit near the tip, where the vibrations are concentrated, and lessen my weight so it wasn‘t too painful. Spice it up by having your partner enter you from behind.
Pro: Plenty of room to grind on the toy, and allows you to read or use the computer hands-free.
Con: makes it somewhat difficult to reach the controls.
#2-- I did not find this feasible… the Cone is not plush, it has no give, and to place too much of my body weight just felt painful. While it is possible to insert the tip, it just didn’t do much for me. Variation: Sit with butt on the floor and lean in towards the Cone.
Pro: Comfortable and hands-free position with variation.
Con: Vibrations near base are more diffused.
#3-- Tried this on sitting on the corner of the bed. Again, to put weight on the tip was painful. But to straddle it, with my butt on the bed, felt great. Variation: Flip the Cone upside-down and hold the tip to your clit. Another way is to cross your legs so you have control of where and how much pressure goes on the Cone.
Pro: Comfortable, good maneuverability.
Con: Vibrations near base are more diffused.
#4-- This way felt great and I was able to center the tip on my clit or easily move so they were concentrated on my vulva or bum.
Pro: Lots of control of how to center vibrations
Con: hard to comfortably hold this position for long.

#5-- Just…. not my thing. The vibrations are centered on the ass, rather than the clit, and left me only one free arm. Variation: Use a pillow to help center your body on the Cone and have your partner use his fingers or tongue on your clit. Or have your man use this position to stimulate the ball and taint area while performing oral sex on him.
Pro: Good for perineal stimulation and oral sex.
Con: Can be cumbersome holding self-up. Not good for clitoral stimulation.
#6-- Tied with #3 for my second favorite position. Hands-free and lots of maneuverability to stimulate the clit or vulva. Variation: sit on a pillow to get your clit closer to the tip.
Pro: Easy to do, lots of maneuverability, hands-free, easy to reach controls.
Con: Not the best position to grind on the toy.
#7-- This one works great in the shower, and/or to give your partner oral sex simultaneously. Variation: stand-up straight. Or face the wall and lean into it while your partner enters you from behind.
Pro: Good with partner, hands-free
Con: Staying bent over can be uncomfortable. Cone is prone to slipping. You can buy rubber grippers from the store to help with this.
#8-- My third favorite position. Very comfortable and effective. Useful for grinding and changing the position of the vibrations by simply leaning forward or back. Variation: Again, use a pillow under the butt to get nearer to the tip.
Pro: hands-free, good maneuverability.
Con: Weight on the Cone can be uncomfortable. The pillow helps.

#9-12-- variations of the other themes while including a partner.

#13-- Using your liberator wedge or ramp, you can hold this against the flat part and lean into in classic doggy-style position. Variation: have your partner enter you from behind… he will be able to feel the vibrations too!!
Pro: Spice up an old stand-by
Con: Cone may slip if your weight moves. You can use a pillow to help if this is a problem.
#14-- See #1... Yes this is my own wonky illustration… hey, its hard to draw on a computer!!
Sandwich two pillows on either side of the Cone and lay down on top. Pro: Clit is nearer the higher concentrated vibrations while lessening applied weight.
Con: Can be difficult to adjust the controls.

CARE AND MAINTANCE The manufacturer states that the Cone can be used with any non-silicone lubes and recommend cleaning with toy cleaner. The Cone can also be safely cleaned with mild soap and warm water, or wiped with a 10% bleach solution to sanitize. And because it is water-proof, with no crevices or textures, it is easy to clean thoroughly.
A red blinking light will indicate that battery life is low. To extend battery life, the 3 C-cell batteries should be removed during storage. I have personally gotten several hours of use from one set of batteries at a time. But good luck finding a toy pouch to keep the lint off this guy. And because of its larger size, it probably won’t be tucked into a drawer, but its discreet appearance means you could leave it on top of the dresser as artwork.

PACKAGING The Cone came packaged in a deep pink, pyramid shaped, card-board box which is semi-discreet. It is pretty, fun, and unique, without being at all vulgar… though its unique shape and bright colors might catch someone’s eye and pique their curiosity.
Included in the box was the cone, a user’s manual, and a pamphlet with position suggestions.
, other uses are limited only by the imagination

Review of Posh by California Exotics: A Posh Accessory That Actually Works

Posh ~California Exotics
NOISE
POWER
LOVE IT RATING

I was looking to add a small, affordable, water-proof vibe to my arsenal recently and decided to try Posh by California Exotics. It arrived in a recloseable plastic clamshell with a brief insert on how to insert the batteries. Though it could be used for storage, I do suggest a toy pouch, which was not included.

The Posh is made of medical-grade, body-safe silicone. It feels extremely soft and smooth, but it does have a bit of drag, so I suggest a bit of water-based lube so it slides gently on the lady bits. This is not a flexible toy by any means, it seems to have plastic or some other hard material under the silicone that provides for no flexibility or squishiness.

Posh’s design looks like a vibrator in miniature. Honestly, at 5 ½” long (4” insertable, 1 ¼” diameter), it can be inserted, but I found it to feel underwhelming inside. It’s just not quite long enough to thrust with or felt deeply, too thin to feel filling, and too short and straight to angle for g-spotting.
With no safety base, it should not be inserted anally, period.

So that brings us to its best use, which is an external stimulator. It does have a noticeably raised bulls-eye at the tip on one side which can be rubbed against the nipples or clit for extra stimulation. I consider mine a clit-o-steel, and as such, the bulls-eye was felt, but didn’t do much for me. On the other hand, I fear some sensitive users may find it too stimulating. Like it or not, by simply twisting a quarter turn, the bulls-eye disappears and is no longer an issue.

Posh’s greatest feature is its moderately powered, deep-rumbling vibrations. The vibrations are diffused throughout the shaft, and become more and more concentrated towards the tip. They can also be adjusted to two speeds, low and high, via the single push-button on the bottom of cap.

I would compare the power of the vibrations to that of a good bullet. They are pretty strong, but not a total powerhouse either. So what really makes this toy better than a bullet are two things. First of all, unlike a bullet which can numb your hand after holding it for awhile, the handle on Posh filters out most of the vibration, making it more comfortable to hold.

The second best feature Posh offers is that it is water-proof. It is pretty quiet in general, and probably wouldn’t be heard outside of closed door or over white noise, and it certainly isn’t heard over the sound of the shower. So this toy is really perfect as a shower buddy, or discreet toy for those who don’t live alone.

Because it is silicone, it is compatible only with water-based lubricants. It can be cleaned with mild soap and warm water or sanitized with a 10% bleach solution, and should be stored with the 1 AA battery removed to extend battery-life. Keep in a toy pouch, as this is a lint collector, away from other toys such as jellies and realistics.

Review of Whisper by Tantus: A Whisper-Quiet Powerhouse

Use
Whisper, by Tantus, is a bullet and silicone-sleeve vibe that is ideal for ladies solo. It works perfectly to stimulate external erogenous zones, such as the clit, nipples and perineum, and can even be used for shallow vaginal penetration. Since silicone is sanitizable and hygienically safe, it is ideal for use during sex and can even be used to during foreplay to stimulate your man's scrotal area or penis.

Like its namesake, this vibe is amazingly quiet. It is also quite small, and the combination these two features make it the ideal discrete vibe. Too often, those of use who have roommates and/or thin walls sacrifice power for something quiet. With the Whisper, you won't have to choose.

Material / Texture
Ahh, the beauty of silicone. It has no taste or smell. It is phthalate-free, non-porous, and completely body-safe. My Whisper is a very dark, pearlized, plum-purple.. and is completely gorgeous. The bullet is made of silver plastic with a matching purple button. To the touch, Whisper's smooth silicone feels almost tacky, with a high amount of drag. Water-based lubrication is a must, and makes the material glide across the skin like butter. The silicone is also highly flexible and very soft, with a good amount of squeeze which makes this toy feel very comfortable in use and allows the vibrations to travel well. This toy is ideal as a first toy or for the toy connoisseur.
Design / Shape / Size
Tantus takes a simple, but effective, design and makes it extraordinary. The elongated tear-drop shape is wonderful, because it allows you to focus the vibrations in the way that suits you best. By placing the broader length of Whisper against your clit it diffuses the vibrations perfectly. On the other hand, focus the tip of it on your clit and the vibrations become very pin-point.

Whisper measures out at only 4" long, and a touch under 1" in diameter, making it great for travel, and small enough to tuck into a purse or small drawer. The size and design also make it easier to hold than a standard bullet. It is rather small for insertion, but could be used to lightly caress up to 3" deep, especially exciting if used this way in foreplay.

Functions / Performance / Controls
Again, Whisper chooses the route of simplicity and efficiency over flash in terms of functions and controls. It is powered by a one-speed bullet that is controlled via a push-button at the base. The button is small, but easy to find and push, but not likely to be accidentally bumped during use.

Amazingly, performance is the area in which Whisper leaves her competitors in the dust. The vibrations are concentrated towards the tip, yet remain strong at the shaft. While they can be felt in at the base, they won't cause your fingers to become numb. Do not be fooled by the N-1 battery, it is long-lasting, and he bullet is very strong. It features high-frequency vibrations that rumble deeply, rather being surface buzzy. And the silicone transfers the vibration awesomely. It does this so well, in fact, that with the cover removed, the bullet itself does not feel any stronger. This is very different from regular sleeves that often muffle the vibrations.

Another great feature of the silicone is that because it is so soft and pliable, it tends to feel like that of a cushy finger in use. This means that with each caress, and with the use of pressure, it still feels gentle.

Care and Maintenance
The Whisper is compatible only with water-based lubes. Avoid silicone-lube as it could possibly bond to the toy’s silicone. To clean Whisper, just wash with toy cleaner, or mild soap and warm water. To sterilize, wipe with a 10% bleach solution or remove the bullet and boil the silicone sleeve for 10 minutes and allow to dry. Because this toy is a lint magnet, store in the plastic bag it arrived in, or in a toy pouch. Keep this toy away for those made of other materials, especially jelly or realistics.

Packaging
Whisper arrived in a clear plastic bag, similar to a sandwich bag. It had no writing or instructions on it.

Review of Roulette: Toronto Queerfest by Reel Queer Productions

<>
Roulette:Toronto
GENREQueer ~ Lesbian ~ Hardcore
LENGTH100 minutes
DIRECTOR
Courtney Trouble
PRODUCED BY
Reel Queer Productions

Dare I admit, gasp, that this is my first femme film? Sure, I’ve seen lesbian scenes before in porn before, but nothing of this nature. This series consisting of 4 Roulette films, directed by the lovely Courtney Trouble, feature raw, hot, gender-queer sex. The music is sexy and moody, and captures the emotion of the characters rather than being distracting. The film, while being a low budget indie, is edgy and modern. So what it lacks it class it makes up for in style.
Before I start spilling the beans on the individual scenes though, I do feel compelled to mention that although I was really able to appreciate the mood and characters, I did discover that this genre of films does not appeal to me the way I thought it might. Therefore, I have done my best to objective about my personal tastes in this regard, as it really does not reflect the quality of the film. I have no doubt those who like queer films will love this one.

Scene: 1
LENGTH:20 minutes
CASTCourtney Trouble, Judy Minx
MUSICMoody and Sexy

The opening scene of Roulette: Toronto feature two femmes that meet up for a quickie that turns into an all-nighter. Courtney dominates her petite partner, with spanking, spitting, and raw sex, causing multiple squirts. The first few minutes are shown in a varied black and white, although I didn’t actually even notice until it came on in full color. The audio is (for once) a moody/sexy rhythm that sets the mood for this hardcore mating. What strikes me most about this scene is how focused these two actors are on each other, rather than the camera. I feel very much as though I am an invisible voyeur, rather than watching two actors who are doing what they are getting paid to do. The chemistry is incredible.

Scene: 2
LENGTH:17 minutes
CASTJiz Lee, Drew Deveaux, River Turner
MUSICBarely noticeable ~ notes

Scene 2 is set in a dance studio where rehearsal takes a sexy turn as Jiz Lee is bent over a freestanding dance beam while Drew Deveaux uses her fingers to stroke her into a g-spot orgasm. But the scene doesn’t end there as the favor is returned. In the meantime, River Turner unzips to give her realistic strap-on a good rub, and some stroking to her dance partner.

Scene: 3
LENGTH:17 minutes
CASTApril Flores, Dylan Ryan
MUSICMoody and Sexy

In scene 3, April calls Femme escort services to send her a leggy brunette. They proceed to lick, suck, and stroke each other to the scenes first orgasm. Then, gasp, the infamous NJOY Eleven enters the scene, leaving everything soaked. Man, I want one of those!

Scene: 4
LENGTH:19 minutes
CASTLascivia Liberty, Scout
MUSICMoody and Sexy

Last of four dynamic scenes, I count seven squirts for little Ms. Liberty. Scout wears a chest harness as lingerie, and I can see why, as she gets pulled around by her “O” ring to all the right spots. Another iconic toy, the Hitachi Magic Wand also makes an appearance in this scene, for some clit buzzing and g-spot fun. This scene has a bit of everything; oral sex, finger-fucking, nipple biting, ass slapping, blow-job, strap-on, and strap-on anal.

Bonus Scene 5
LENGTH:25 minutes
CASTDia Zerva, Wordman
MUSICNone

This scene is a bonus scene and is the only hetero scene of the bunch. It is, in fact, the first time that gorgeous 8 year couple, Dia and Wordman, have allowed one of their couplings to be filmed. You can really sense the actual connection, love, and trust these two have for each other, and it really sets the scene apart. Definitely my favorite of the bunch. Wordman presents Dia with a stripper pole of her own, and she rewards him with a private show and even more private lap dance. He licks and fingers her ‘til she begs for him to let her orgasm. Then she returns the favor with a sloppy blow-job, until they move to the dining room. Another present, the NJOY Eleven makes another appearance, along with the Hitachi Magic Wand, all leading up to a hard climax.

Truly, this film has to be seen to be appreciated. So head on over to Good Vibes and to get your copy!

Review of the Happy Hour Kit by Good Vibes

I was trying to figure out something that would pack easily in my suitcase, that would be fun and functional, for my husband and I while we went on vacation. That’s when I stumbled across the Happy Hour Kit from Good Vibes.

It had an array of products from their “Me” line, ideal for massage and relaxation. After all, isn’t relaxation what it’s all about when you’re on vacation? Sure, I have other similar products that are nice, but something new always helps to set the mood. Besides, it seemed a safe a bet, something I knew I would like. What I didn’t count on? I feel head-over-heels for this delicious smelling kit! So let me break it down for you:

(Click on the pictures for links to view other available scents and flavors.)

FLAVOR
Mojito
SIZE
1 oz
COLOR
White opaque / Goes on clear
INGREDIENTS
shea butter, sweet almond oil, candellila wax, vitamin E, flavor oils
“LOVE IT” RATING

Smooch Me Lip Lube came in a silver in tin that was sealed in shrink wrap. The lid lifts off easily with a slight tug and a twist, and smells heavenly. The scent reminds me slightly of Starburst candy and it does taste like a sweeter, smoother version of a mojito,. I like that it doesn’t leave an aftertaste in your mouth like some lip glosses do and is moisturizing. You do have to use you finger to put in on, but my husband thought it was pretty sexy when I slowly put in on myself, and then used the same finger to put it on him. I loved that it really helped my lips glide over him during oral sex. I also love that it makes my lips feel silky-smooth, but is not shiny or colored, so my husband doesn’t mind wearing it too.

FLAVOR
Pina Colada
SIZE
1 oz
COLOR
Almost clear with a hint of spring green
INGREDIENTS
Sweet almond oil, flavor oils
PRECAUTIONS
Not latex-safe ~ External use only
“LOVE IT” RATING

My biggest surprise in the whole kit was the Devour Me Likable Body Oil. I don’t typically like Pina Colada, but this tasted wonderful. The taste is mild, not overly strong or overly sweet like others. It kind of reminded me of a pina colada without the milky taste. And the aroma blended perfectly with the massage oils.
This likable oil is not so much for massage, as it rubs in very quickly, rather it is best suited for rubbing into your partner’s skin and then licking. Since it does not contain sugar, it is safe to use on the external genitals, though it’s still a good idea to shower after using. It comes in a small glass container with a silver metallic lid. The opening reminds me of cologne bottles, as the it is thick at the top, with a small hole that helps to stem overflow. The liquid itself is very thin, non-staining, and dries with absolutely no residue.

SCENT
Coconut Lime
SIZE
2 oz ~ ½ width ~ 2 ½ diameter
COLOR
White bar, rubs on clear
INGREDIENTS
Cocoa butter, shea butter, fragrance oil
PRECAUTIONS
External use only ~ Not latex safe.
“lOVE IT” RATING

I can honestly say that I’ve never used a massage bar before. I’ve tried oils, silicone lubes, even massage candles. But it seems I always go back using lotion. I’d never found anything else so reasonably priced that retained the slickness that makes my hands glide so easily. When I unwrapped it from the gold foil, I didn’t hold out much expectations. It was round and looked like a bar of soap. In my hands, it felt almost like a slightly slippery candle. I rubbed my finger across the top and it barely picked up any oil. I prepared for disappointment, but rubbed it up and down my husbands back anyway (it’s activated by body-heat). I put my hands on his back and felt them glide easily over the surface. Not just for a little while either, but for the entire 30 minute back rub. Amazing. And I cannot stress enough how good it smells. I would say the lime is a tad stronger (in terms of equality), than the coconut. It makes me feel as though I am in a tropical garden somewhere, yet its not flowery or so strong that my husband doesn’t like it. He loves it too.

SCENT
Pomegranate Mint
SIZE
2 oz
COLOR
Very light barely-pink
INGREDIENTS
Water, emulsifying wax, vegetable oils, cetyl alcohol, octal palmitate, caprylic, dimethicone, vitamin E acetate, aleo vera, cyclomethicone phenoxyethenol, parabens, sodium citrate, tetrasodium EDTA, Red no. 4
“LOVE IT” RATING

Arriving in a typical plastic pop-top lotion bottle (larger sizes in pump-tops), the Knead Me Massage Lotion was initially overlooked by me in this kit. Like the massage bar, this also smells incredible. However, the lotion favors the pomegranate scent over the mint, which is fine by me. With this lotion, you can definitely feel the oil it contains as it rubs in. While some won’t like this as a body lotion, it works wonderfully, because it is intended as a massage lotion and this prolongs the amount of time the skin feels slippery. My favorite way to use this is in conjunction with the massage bar. I like to rub the bar on my husband, and then the lotion into my hands. Do this once, and there is no need to reapply. Oh, and did I mention how great this smells?

SCENT
Pomegranate mint
SIZE
1 ball ~ 2.8 oz ~ tad smaller than a tennis ball
COLOR
white
INGREDIENTS
Sodium bicarbonate, citric acid, sodium chloride, shea butter, canola oil, PEG-160, fragrance
“LOVE IT” RATING

The Relax Me Fizzy Bath Ball comes in clear shrink wrap, and is then wrapped in a pretty bright fuchsia tissue paper and clear plastic with large white polka-dots. These papers and held together with a small pink ribbon that holds the product tag. Even through all this wrapping the wonderful smell in evident. The scent of the bath ball is like that of the lotion, favoring the pomegranate a bit more than the mint.
To use the ball, just drop it into a warm bath, watch it fizz and release its intoxicating scent. It doesn’t turn the water colors, but it does make the skin feel soft and silky. I love it! Only con? One time use only.

TYPE
Non-insertable ~ Waterproof
SIZE
3 ½” long ~ 1” diameter
COLOR
Milky opaque
MATERIAL
Plastic
POWERED BY
1 AA battery
“LOVE IT” RATING

Ahh, my only disappointment in the whole set, was the Pearl Drop vibe. It arrived in small semi-transparent plastic box, much like a tube of lipstick comes in. The instructions on the side were brief to say the least. Basically, snap the lid open, insert one AA battery, snap shut and enjoy. Sounds simple. Until I went to open it. I tried for all I was worth to get the stupid lid open, eventually giving up and waiting for my husband to come home. It doesn’t screw down, it just pulls off like an Easter egg, but it is so tight it really takes some wrangling to snap on or off. Then came my next question, how the hell am I supposed to turn this thing on? Not a button in sight. I did finally figure it out, however. The impossible lid that I snapped down turns until the metal in the lid connects with the metal in the base, keep twisting and it turns off. Very simplistic. Like something I built as a 6th grade science project.

Honestly, I could deal with the above, and the fact that it’s a bit of a turn off that it’s see-through, giving me an unwanted view of the battery and motor. But what really doesn’t work for me are the vibrations. Granted, they are low-frequency and rumbly, but they are only one speed (low) and so diffused throughout the head that they don’t penetrate deeply. For those that like bullet vibes with low to moderate intensity, this might work better for you. As a power-queen myself, it didn’t come close. And my final straw that pretty much guaranteed I will never use this vibe again? After using this vibe and getting all slick with your lady juices, you have to try and get a firm grip on the cap to shut it back off. Ewww!
On a positive note, this vibe is pretty discreet in looks and size, easy to clean, and compatible with all types of lube.

All-in-all, I was very happy with this kit. I love the “Me” products and fully intend to replace them as they run out. To make this kit even more special, buy a cheap basket from the dollar store and line with pretty tissue paper to hold the items.

Thank you Good Vibes for sending me the Happy Hour Kit to review!
