Review of Flexi Felix by Fun Factory

Who could resist trying out Fun Factory’s Flexi Felix? Not I, that’s for sure! Besides, I think my love of Fun Factory toys is pretty obvious, especially with the fantastically soft silicone and fun, funky designs. And honestly, Felix holds up to the Fun Factory standards that I have come to expect.

It arrived in a dark grey box with “bubbles” as the design, and an open window that views the toy directly through its clear-plastic clamshell. It’s not the luxury packaging that comes with Lelo or Zini, but it’s fun in a way that makes you feel like you have received a great new toy to play with. Included were the directions in a multi-language booklet and a sample of Toy Fluid water-based lube.

Felix is this adorable little wormy creature, with eyes that double as finger holds, cute little antennas and a body with elongated balls and thin necks. While I wouldn’t exactly call it discreet, if you have kids this could easily be mistaken for one of their toys. Otherwise, you’re probably screwed. Immediately after taking Felix out of the packaging I was surprised at how, well, flexible he is. The balls themselves do have some substance, but the necks are so thin that the tail just flops downward with no support what-so-ever. I had my doubts, but I trust FF, so I’d try to drop my reservations and trust the design.

It is made of 100% non-porous, medical-grade silicone. One of the most sought-after materials for sex toys as it is non-allergenic, can be shared (after cleaning), and can be sterilized by boiling, bleaching, or cleaned using a toy cleaner. This silicone has the brushed surface that makes it feel velvety-soft and has little drag. My favorite! And all it takes is a small amount of water-based lube (avoid all other types of lube other than water-based) to get it slick and slippery.

The first time I used it I was already pretty excited from the clit toy I was using when I got this out and paired it with my Blossom Organics water-based lube. I was genuinely surprised how little it took. Only about a pea-sized amount. The hard part was getting it in, since it’s so floppy. I wish I had some amazing pointers, but all I can really say is to hold the first ball at the neck and ease the tip in. The slightly elongated balls do make it easier to insert that standard round balls. The subsequent balls were much easier to get in once the first one was in.

Size-wise, Felix is very beginner-friendly. Although he is 12 inches long (10” insertable), you can choose to insert however much you want. The first ball is 2” in circumference, and each of the 5 balls increase by ¼ of an inch in procession. And with that thought, I’d have to say this would be good even for intermediate users. Size-queens however, or those who like any type of firm pressure (for the prostate) will probably be better off looking elsewhere.

I, personally, was happy with just 3 balls. I found that the flexibility did work for me in use. It made Felix feel comfortable and easy to manage, though I just can’t help but feel that for those who prefer something more substantial in texture, firmness, or size… this just won’t fit the bill. But my beginner friends…. how can you resist this cute little face?

Thank you Babeland for sending me Fun Factory's Flexi Felix to review!
