Review of the Happy Hour Kit by Good Vibes

I was trying to figure out something that would pack easily in my suitcase, that would be fun and functional, for my husband and I while we went on vacation. That’s when I stumbled across the Happy Hour Kit from Good Vibes.

It had an array of products from their “Me” line, ideal for massage and relaxation. After all, isn’t relaxation what it’s all about when you’re on vacation? Sure, I have other similar products that are nice, but something new always helps to set the mood. Besides, it seemed a safe a bet, something I knew I would like. What I didn’t count on? I feel head-over-heels for this delicious smelling kit! So let me break it down for you:

(Click on the pictures for links to view other available scents and flavors.)

FLAVOR
Mojito
SIZE
1 oz
COLOR
White opaque / Goes on clear
INGREDIENTS
shea butter, sweet almond oil, candellila wax, vitamin E, flavor oils
“LOVE IT” RATING

Smooch Me Lip Lube came in a silver in tin that was sealed in shrink wrap. The lid lifts off easily with a slight tug and a twist, and smells heavenly. The scent reminds me slightly of Starburst candy and it does taste like a sweeter, smoother version of a mojito,. I like that it doesn’t leave an aftertaste in your mouth like some lip glosses do and is moisturizing. You do have to use you finger to put in on, but my husband thought it was pretty sexy when I slowly put in on myself, and then used the same finger to put it on him. I loved that it really helped my lips glide over him during oral sex. I also love that it makes my lips feel silky-smooth, but is not shiny or colored, so my husband doesn’t mind wearing it too.

FLAVOR
Pina Colada
SIZE
1 oz
COLOR
Almost clear with a hint of spring green
INGREDIENTS
Sweet almond oil, flavor oils
PRECAUTIONS
Not latex-safe ~ External use only
“LOVE IT” RATING

My biggest surprise in the whole kit was the Devour Me Likable Body Oil. I don’t typically like Pina Colada, but this tasted wonderful. The taste is mild, not overly strong or overly sweet like others. It kind of reminded me of a pina colada without the milky taste. And the aroma blended perfectly with the massage oils.
This likable oil is not so much for massage, as it rubs in very quickly, rather it is best suited for rubbing into your partner’s skin and then licking. Since it does not contain sugar, it is safe to use on the external genitals, though it’s still a good idea to shower after using. It comes in a small glass container with a silver metallic lid. The opening reminds me of cologne bottles, as the it is thick at the top, with a small hole that helps to stem overflow. The liquid itself is very thin, non-staining, and dries with absolutely no residue.

SCENT
Coconut Lime
SIZE
2 oz ~ ½ width ~ 2 ½ diameter
COLOR
White bar, rubs on clear
INGREDIENTS
Cocoa butter, shea butter, fragrance oil
PRECAUTIONS
External use only ~ Not latex safe.
“lOVE IT” RATING

I can honestly say that I’ve never used a massage bar before. I’ve tried oils, silicone lubes, even massage candles. But it seems I always go back using lotion. I’d never found anything else so reasonably priced that retained the slickness that makes my hands glide so easily. When I unwrapped it from the gold foil, I didn’t hold out much expectations. It was round and looked like a bar of soap. In my hands, it felt almost like a slightly slippery candle. I rubbed my finger across the top and it barely picked up any oil. I prepared for disappointment, but rubbed it up and down my husbands back anyway (it’s activated by body-heat). I put my hands on his back and felt them glide easily over the surface. Not just for a little while either, but for the entire 30 minute back rub. Amazing. And I cannot stress enough how good it smells. I would say the lime is a tad stronger (in terms of equality), than the coconut. It makes me feel as though I am in a tropical garden somewhere, yet its not flowery or so strong that my husband doesn’t like it. He loves it too.

SCENT
Pomegranate Mint
SIZE
2 oz
COLOR
Very light barely-pink
INGREDIENTS
Water, emulsifying wax, vegetable oils, cetyl alcohol, octal palmitate, caprylic, dimethicone, vitamin E acetate, aleo vera, cyclomethicone phenoxyethenol, parabens, sodium citrate, tetrasodium EDTA, Red no. 4
“LOVE IT” RATING

Arriving in a typical plastic pop-top lotion bottle (larger sizes in pump-tops), the Knead Me Massage Lotion was initially overlooked by me in this kit. Like the massage bar, this also smells incredible. However, the lotion favors the pomegranate scent over the mint, which is fine by me. With this lotion, you can definitely feel the oil it contains as it rubs in. While some won’t like this as a body lotion, it works wonderfully, because it is intended as a massage lotion and this prolongs the amount of time the skin feels slippery. My favorite way to use this is in conjunction with the massage bar. I like to rub the bar on my husband, and then the lotion into my hands. Do this once, and there is no need to reapply. Oh, and did I mention how great this smells?

SCENT
Pomegranate mint
SIZE
1 ball ~ 2.8 oz ~ tad smaller than a tennis ball
COLOR
white
INGREDIENTS
Sodium bicarbonate, citric acid, sodium chloride, shea butter, canola oil, PEG-160, fragrance
“LOVE IT” RATING

The Relax Me Fizzy Bath Ball comes in clear shrink wrap, and is then wrapped in a pretty bright fuchsia tissue paper and clear plastic with large white polka-dots. These papers and held together with a small pink ribbon that holds the product tag. Even through all this wrapping the wonderful smell in evident. The scent of the bath ball is like that of the lotion, favoring the pomegranate a bit more than the mint.
To use the ball, just drop it into a warm bath, watch it fizz and release its intoxicating scent. It doesn’t turn the water colors, but it does make the skin feel soft and silky. I love it! Only con? One time use only.

TYPE
Non-insertable ~ Waterproof
SIZE
3 ½” long ~ 1” diameter
COLOR
Milky opaque
MATERIAL
Plastic
POWERED BY
1 AA battery
“LOVE IT” RATING

Ahh, my only disappointment in the whole set, was the Pearl Drop vibe. It arrived in small semi-transparent plastic box, much like a tube of lipstick comes in. The instructions on the side were brief to say the least. Basically, snap the lid open, insert one AA battery, snap shut and enjoy. Sounds simple. Until I went to open it. I tried for all I was worth to get the stupid lid open, eventually giving up and waiting for my husband to come home. It doesn’t screw down, it just pulls off like an Easter egg, but it is so tight it really takes some wrangling to snap on or off. Then came my next question, how the hell am I supposed to turn this thing on? Not a button in sight. I did finally figure it out, however. The impossible lid that I snapped down turns until the metal in the lid connects with the metal in the base, keep twisting and it turns off. Very simplistic. Like something I built as a 6th grade science project.

Honestly, I could deal with the above, and the fact that it’s a bit of a turn off that it’s see-through, giving me an unwanted view of the battery and motor. But what really doesn’t work for me are the vibrations. Granted, they are low-frequency and rumbly, but they are only one speed (low) and so diffused throughout the head that they don’t penetrate deeply. For those that like bullet vibes with low to moderate intensity, this might work better for you. As a power-queen myself, it didn’t come close. And my final straw that pretty much guaranteed I will never use this vibe again? After using this vibe and getting all slick with your lady juices, you have to try and get a firm grip on the cap to shut it back off. Ewww!
On a positive note, this vibe is pretty discreet in looks and size, easy to clean, and compatible with all types of lube.

All-in-all, I was very happy with this kit. I love the “Me” products and fully intend to replace them as they run out. To make this kit even more special, buy a cheap basket from the dollar store and line with pretty tissue paper to hold the items.

Thank you Good Vibes for sending me the Happy Hour Kit to review!

  5. " Pizza was called (and is still called) tomato pie and pizza pie in certain parts of the States. You have to shake over the paddle of the openhandedly by taking usage of the corn meal & then you have to place pizza bread on the paddle ahead of mixing toppings into it. There is also the question about whether to use a pizza stone, ceramic tile, or the pizza screen.
